NEW Workshop Offering!

Self-Care in the Fourth Trimester

There are many ways people try to prepare before having a baby: taking birthing classes, building furniture and setting up the nursery, learning how to care for a newborn. But what about preparing to care for yourself? The postpartum period is full of changes and challenges, and statistics show us that 1 in 5 women experience clinically significant anxiety and depression while pregnant and postpartum. With this 1-hour workshop, conveniently offered virtually for your ever-busy schedule, you can learn about the impacts of pregnancy and postpartum on your mental health, what are “normal” experiences during this period, and when you should reach out for help. You will leave the workshop with an understanding of what this time period may be like, and specific and concrete ways to care for your whole self during this time, with the aim of buffering the impact of these challenges on your mental health. You take care of everything else before baby arrives- don’t forget to care for yourself.

In-Person Therapy Office

As of September 2024, I am now offering in-person therapy in a cozy, comfortable, and private space in West Hempstead, NY. While virtual therapy is an amazing option for many people, and allows those with more constraints on their time or mobility to attend therapy, or helps those connect with the right therapist who not be so local, I am excited to now offer in-person therapy sessions as well. Whether you would like to exclusively see a therapist in-person, or would like to do so occasionally and still continue some virtual therapy, this new office space will be an amazing opportunity. This cozy and quaint office space features a comfortable waiting area with water cooler, private bathroom, and a convenient and complimentary parking lot to help make attending therapy as easy and comfortable as possible.
